Pacifica Insurance Offers 10K as TOC Hole-In-One Prize E-mail

The Tournament of Champions will be held on August 6 and 7 at the Laolao Bay Golf and Resort.Add $10,000 more to the already impressive list of prizes that may be won at the 21st Annual Tournament of Champions. Pacific Insurance Underwriters today announced that it is participating in the golf tournament by sponsoring the large cash award as a hole-in-one prize.


“The Tournament of Champions has been instrumental in raising funds for beautification projects throughout the island; these projects have enhanced the CNMI’s reputation as a prime destination,” said Shirley Sablan, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Pacifica Insurance. “We are delighted to be part of the Tournament and wish all the players luck!”

“I also encourage other companies in the community to continue to make a difference in contributing to worthy nonprofit activities like the Tournament of Champions,” Sablan added.

“The Tournament of Champions has been a great success for the past 21 years thanks to the generosity of companies like Pacifica Insurance,” said Ben Babauta, Tournament Director. “We definitely ‘rest assured’ knowing that companies like Pacifica are committed to helping the community.”

The 21st Annual Tournament of Champions will be played at the LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort’s East & West Courses on August 6 and 7.  The two-day event is bigger than ever with exciting hole-in-one prizes and the chance to win thousands of dollars in possible prizes. The TOC tournament fee is $200.00.

First place winners in the Men’s Championship, A, B, C, Senior and Super Senior Flights will each receive $500 cash, $400 for second, $300 for third, a GoPro camera to fourth, and $100 DFS gift certificate for fifth place. The Ladies Low Gross champion will receive $500, $400 for second, and $300 for third place.  The first, second, and third place winners of the Ladies Low Net will receive a trophy.

There will be hundreds of thousands worth of prizes that will be at stake in the two-day tournament, including hole-in-one prizes that include a one-year of free golf donated by Saipan Laolao Bay Golf and Resort.

Since its inception, TOC has given over $700,000 to the Saipan Beautification Fund which has gone directly to improvements like the tree-lined traffic medians that stretch from Garapan to the former Palm Resort Saipan, as well as the revitalization of the Garapan special district. In addition, TOC also contributed funds for the Paseo de Marianas, the lighting of the Saipan Beach Pathway, and the beautification of the Port to Park pathway.
